Song Choice.

In our group, it took a little while to decide what song we were going to use. At first we didn't really have any ideas, so we then went on to youtube to see what video and songs were popular at the moment. We then came up with the idea they we all wanted to use a Lady Gaga song for our music video, we are all Lady Gaga fans, so it kind of made sense, because we know we all would be really into making the video to a high standard. We then had to decide what song of hers we were going to use, this proved quite difficult as most of her songs do have music video even though some of them may not have been released or seen as much as her others. We then came across her song Monster and we all actually really liked the song and it is really catchy and were really thinking about using this for our music video, we then typed this into youtube to make sure that there wasn't already an official music video for this song, and there wasn't. That was when we decided to make our music video to the song Monster by Lady Gaga. We also looked at the lyrics of the song which helped us make our decision as we could envision the things that we could put into our music video and also things like where in the song/video they would go. We thought that this song had a lot of potential and that we could follow the lyrics of the song to make up a storyline that could then run through our music video.

When we decided that we wanted to do a music video to a Lady Gaga song we didn't really have that many songs to choose from because she has made a music video for a lot of her songs, even if they haven't been released. Therefore out of the songs that we did have left we chose the song Monster, which as said before we all thought was a really catchy song and that we all like. Also with this song, because we all liked it, it would mean that we would have a lot of fun with the making of this music video. Plus we could be really inventive with this video because of the lyrics and the way that there is a little story going on in them, we could elaborate on this and make up a good story and put a video together using the story of the song Monster.
